The OpenPolicyForum aims to be a platform that advocates and endorses the free access to quality education worldwide. As it becomes increasingly important for job searchers to hold higher qualifications, the availability of secondary and tertiary education is a decisive factor for the prospects of individuals. We are especially concerned with the access to education in developing countries. Therefore our aims are:
- Bridging the digital divide by enhancing the availability of modern communication technology for poor people
- Endorsing the use of ICT and open-source or freeware applications to provide cheap, flexible and accessible education solutions for everyone
- Promoting eLearning as an interesting alternative in tackling the deficits of the education system in developing countries
